Music Promo Analysis & Evaluation 2

I feel as though I contributed most effectively towards the successful completion of my music video by being the cinematographer. I had the job in my team of being in charge of the camera so I had the responsibilities of making sure the camera was in the right settings, the angles/shot types where good, setting up camera equipment such as the tripod etc. The reason why I think I contributed most effectively towards my music video is because I handled the responsibilities very well as I kept on top of them and when watching the footage back me and my team were very happy with it. This included me being able to support my team-mates to produce their best work as they had to use the footage I filmed for their music video so I had to make sure they were happy with it and luckily they were. I supported them in other ways as well. This was by keep checking up on them too see if they were confident with what they are doing and I gave them help or ideas if they needed some as that's what team-work is about.

To develop as a media practitioner, I need to work on the pre-production work more by making sure it all get's done so that it will make the production a lot easier to do. Me and my team didn't get all the pre-production work completed which effected negatively on our work because it made the planning of the music video shoot a lot harder as we didn't have recce sheets, costume ideas etc. So we had to think on the spot a lot when it came too filming as we didn't have anything to look back on.

The three targets I want to set myself to develop my practice are:

• become organised
• do more research
• develop more editing skills

I want to become more organised so that the work flows a lot better so I will feel less stressed and the work will be done quicker and easier. For research, I want to make myself become more in a habit to research more stuff that's related to the task so I can gain more knowledge and ideas. I want to develop more editing skills as I feel as though I didn't have enough when edited my music video which effect it a lot. To make sure I am developing and making sure my work is improving I can evaluate it everyday when I do the work and see where I can improve it.
